Ina Sireteanu

Ina Sireteanu was born in the Republic of Moldova, city of Chisinau in 1986.
She began playing tennis at the age of 4; from the age of 11 Ina has been participating in various tennis tournaments
At the age of 14 she becomes Master of Sports of Moldova.
Beginning with March 2001 Ina has been training and playing for the tennis club "Nika", managed by her coach Veaceslav Nikitin

Currently Ina Sireteanu is studying at the Specialized Sport School in Chisinau, Republic of Moldova
Ina speaks perfect Romanian and Russian, and is fluent in English and French.
Personal profile: dynamic, result oriented, obligation respecting, responsible, disciplined, receptive to new knowledge and ability to learn fast, high aptitudes to obtain good results individually or within a team, out-going.


           Upon arrival at the first tournament in Weiblingen, Sireteanu was 402nd, according to the ranking of the ETA (European Tennis Association). They had been traveling for two days and arrived only at 1.00a.m., while at 8.00a.m. the matches were supposed to begin. Finding out that they will have to compete with Moldavian players, the German players were not hiding their satisfaction. How big was their astonishment, when Sireteanu won Susan Bialas in the 3rd set 6:0 and Rebecca Haenle 6:2, 6:2. Next victim became the Romanian player Stinca Murisan, the victory that was more convincing 6:1, 6:2. The opponents and organizers were shocked by the unpredictable Moldavian player. For the qualification for quarters Ina met the Norwegian player Anette Acsdal, she was close to victory, but in the deciding third set her force gave up. At the following tournaments Ina was performing better and better.
           The news about the gifted tennis player from Moldova spread quickly, especially after in the third tournament BMW Junior Open when she had won in the second round and was ranked fourth, also winner of first tournament in Weiblingen, Tei Pavic 6:4, 6:0. At the last tournament Ina was included in the list of favorites and managed to reach the semi-finals, winning the game with her Check opponent Susan Cmeralov 6:0, 6:0. For the entire tournament Sireteanu collected 150 points and moved to 35th place in the ETA ranking, which for Moldavian tennis is an unprecedented success.
